Grant got the assignment Tuesday morning. Right after he left the captain's office, he texted Valeria Jung to ask if she'd go to the Flynn-Cabot wedding with him, officially as a couple. He asked Val because A) she looks hella awesome in formal-wear but mostly B) he's not sure how long this will take and he'll have minimum contact with his life in Siren Cove. So he used the wedding as a nice sort of goodbye to Val, a promise that he'd call her as soon as he got back to town.
